General FAQs
- What is Reverse Osmosis?
Reverse Osmosis is a technology for water purification, which was initially developed by the US Government to provide abundant supply of safe drinking water onto naval warships and manned spacecrafts. It is a technical breakthrough of no small proportion. Water cleansed using the reverse osmosis process can achieve an astounding purity level of 97%. With reverse osmosis, the need for an array of water treatment methods to decontaminate water is extinguished. It deals with all contaminants quickly and decisively, both biological and non-biological poisons.
- How do we produce pure and safe drinking water?
The water we use is drawn from the national water supply, which has already been treated with conventional but respectable technique of filtration. It has been classified as acceptably safe drinking water. But that, of course, is nowhere near adequate for our purposes.
The water is exerted under very high pressure through our R O machines, which contain semi-permeable membranes. This is no trifling matter, as water has to make its way through not only one or two, but seven semi-permeable membranes. As passing through each stage, the water goes from merely adequate, to clean, and finally arrives at approaching perfection. All manner of waterborne pollutants present in tiny amounts barely detectable even to the aided eye have been done away with.
But that is only the end of the beginning.
Despite having been screened by seven separate semi-permeable membranes, there is a small chance that a tiny amount of bacteria still persists in the permeate. The R O treated water, called permeate, is then processed with Ozone. The Ozone oxidizes in water and incinerates any bacteria, which may exist. It is then reduced to harmless oxygen, leaving nothing but a breath of fresh air in the water. The end result is pure water safe for human consumption.
- How about being environmental friendly?
R O Water has supported the idea of being environmental friendly since its first day of operation. We always pride ourselves with utilizing minimal materials to produce our products. This definitely is no easy task as to produce the entire product from raw materials to packaging with optimum quality requires great expertise coupled with advanced technology.
In addition, we practice Chemical Handling and Schedule Waste System to ensure that all the waste and chemicals are disposed off properly without harming the environment. Rejected materials such as PET bottles, cartons etc. are sent to the authorized parties for recycling so that wastage and pollution could be minimized.
